“I love my teeth and my smile. The work was done very softly and pleasant, and Dr. Gross and his team really cared and even worked on “odd” hours as I was a bit pushed for time leaving USA for Europe. Thank you Dr. Gross – Thank you Renee and the rest of the team – You are great!”

"An Overview of American Dentistry", Promed Dental Clinic, Ekaterinburg, Russia 1992; In 1992, the United States State Department opened a Consulate in Ekaterinburg, Russia. In conjunction with the Department of Commerce, the US was to facilitate the conversion of military production plants into non-military factories. Historically, Ekaterinburg was and is the hub of the “Soviet” military industrial complex. My role, as the first American dentist to this formerly top secret closed city, was to outfit and train a local dental office to US standards in case someone from the US government had a dental emergency.

After screening numerous applications, I assembled a team of seven dentists and myself. The travel was perfectly coordinated so that we all landed in Frankfurt within hours of each other and then flew to Ekaterinburg on a five-hour non-stop flight. For two weeks our group worked tirelessly teaching our “dentist” host and treating hundreds of Central Russian patients.
